HAGL president Duc causes disadvantages to the future of Cong Phuong when he will not let this striker play for the HCMC club for a long time.
Recently, Doan Nguyen Duc spoke about never selling striker Nguyen Cong Phuong. Bau Duc affirmed that the Nghe An-born striker will play only briefly for Ho Chi Minh City and must return to HAGL.
Bau Duc said: "It is not easy for Cong Phuong to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. HAGL and I do not make it difficult for anyone, especially people who are interested. But it is certain that Cong Phuong's departure will never happen.”
Duc Duc will allow Cong Phuong to play the entire V.League 2020 first phase for Chung Hae Seong's team. He will be further considered whether to let Cong Phuong play until the end of season. But surely the Vietnam striker will not stay in Ho Chi Minh City for more than a season.
Mr. Duc's decision is somewhat detrimental to the future of Nguyen Cong Phuong as the striker has things that Hoang Anh Gia Lai does not bring for him.
The first is Cong Phuong's salary (120 million/month) without bonuses and allowances in Ho Chi Minh. This is considered the highest salary of a player in V.League history.
If he had to return to HAGL, Cong Phuong would receive a salary equal to 1/3 of that in Ho Chi Minh City. Tuan Anh, Van Toan, Van Thanh in HAGL... are also receiving a salary of 40 million / month.
Not only affected by income, Cong Phuong may lose his motivation to return to HAGL team. Bau Duc once said he did not want to invest in HAGL to compete for the V.League championship. Therefore, Tuan Anh and his teammates are still considered only 'kicking for fun'.
The striker won’t have the opportunity to attend regional and continental arenas with the HCM City club such as AFC Cup, ACC Cup ... Cong Phuong himself also had a good start by scoring 3 goals for Ho Chi Minh City.
At the age of 25, Cong Phuong possessed a goal that made every domestic striker jealous. Cong Phuong has 32 goals in the V.League, 31 goals for U22, U23 Vietnam and 8 goals for the national team. In total, the striker has scored 88 goals in his career.
Cong Phuong desperately needs a team with the potential and ambition to contribute and develop themselves. Does Bau Duc have a second thought about playing Nghe An striker for a long term in Ho Chi Minh City?
