KUALA LUMPUR: Joining the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Roger Federer, Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) players are donating money to help those affected by Covid-19.
In line with the Johor government’s Johor Disaster Fund, the JDT footballers are contributing part of their salaries.
JDT captain Hariss Harun said in a statement on social media that the Southern Tigers hope to ease the burden of those affected by the pandemic.
“The Covid-19 outbreak has challenged each and every one of us. Society needs to come together in these difficult times.
“I hope that our contributions will help many and I urge many more to come forward to make any form of contributions to help society overcome this dark episode.”
