Who is current Vietnam’s domestic top scorer?

V-League 2 this season suddenly draws attention by having such promising players who typically is Martin Lo.

Park Hang-seo’s assistants consisting of Mr.  Kim Han-joon and Lee Young-jin monitored overseas-based players by watching the clash between Pho Hien FC and Phu Dong FC.

However, the one made them surprised was another familiar name – Nguyen Xuan Nam who once shone brightly in the time under youth team outfit.

He is reaching a terrific ratio by 1 goal per match. He made his reputation when being with U16 Vietnam snatching 2010 AFF Cup title. He was the goal scorer in AFF U-19 Youth Championship by registering 8 goals.

The 1994-born player made his football career from Hanoi's Youth Football where he was brought to Laos to play under SHB Vientiane color.

Xuan Nam rapidly fell in the line with the teammates and showed his talent by seating 2nd place in the Lao League’s top scorer with 14 goals.

A chance to be put on the national list would be expanded for him

Acknowledging Xuan Nam’s ability, the Lao Football Federation (LFF) had offered Xuan Nam to become a naturalized player for Laos yet the youngster denied and turned back Vietnam.

Xuan Nam had been a teammate of Ngan Van Dai, Do Van Thuan, and Tong Duc An when both served for Sai Gon FC under Nguyen Huu Thang guidance before he moved to play for Pho Hien FC.

In V-League 2, reaching a 1 goal/match ratio is not an easy task. In the context of Vietnam’s crisis in the offending, Xuan Nam would be a deserving name to be convened to the scouting list.

If Xuan Nam keeps his impressing form going on as it is at present, a chance to be put on the national list will be expanded for him.
