“U23 Vietnam, never rest on your laurels”, Korean journalist says

On 26th March, at My Dinh National Stadium wherein taking place AFC U23 Championship 2020 Qualifiers, such an emotional match that u23 Vietnam played defeating 4 - 0 the “great rival” – Thailand. Vietnam’s top Group K conceding 0 goal, with 11 scores proudly go through to Final round of AFC U23 Championship 2020 coming about early next year in Thailand.

There have been many opinions that the last triumph over U23 Thailand is a strong affirmation that Vietnamese football has now ended the era of losing to Thai one. Hong Jae-min Journalist Korean Fourfourtwo newspaper sent commendation to U23 Vietnam team and the numerous fans of this S-shaped country.

"Certainly, this 4-0 victory brought great joy to Vietnam. I knew Thailand was the great rival of Vietnam regarding the football field. Seeing Mr. Park continue to overcome the pressure in the way that he’s done, I’m happy for him." Hong Jae-min shared with Thethao247.vn.

"However, it’s ok to be happy but does not overconfident for this as it’s just a U23 team. Asian football backgrounds concerning on U23 team are to serve the Olympics or Asian Games. Even if the U23 team has won the record does not mean it’s National's victory. Trouncing Thailand squad at the national level is a vital goal that your team needs to seize to be more proud."

Hong Jae-min added: "The National squad always gets more attention, more priority comparing to U23 team. Vietnam took many players from U23 to serve the national team yet Thailand and other football backgrounds did not do the same. The Thai national team has completely distinct players. That’s a big difference."

"You should understand the common sense of football that fresh football might be failed. Don't criticize, as well as Don't be too happy when your youth team gets success. Let’s see how the National Team will be."
