Vietnam climbs to 98th place in FIFA Rankings

FIFA has announced its rankings of April, the latest news is that Vietnam climbs up to the 98th.
FIFA rankings is announced on April, and Vietnam national team received good news to be placed in higher position with 1227 points.
On the Asian rankings, Vietnam NT is placed at 16th behind Jordan, higher than Palestine. The gap with Palestine is close with only 3 points. Iran is the top team, ranked 21st in the world with 1516 points.
Coach Park Hang-seo's side climbs to 98th in 211 teams in the world. In ASEAN, Vietnam is leading team, followed by Thailand NT (1174 point) for good achievement in friendly matches in China.
FIFA rankings will based on the list to rank seeded teams, if Vietnam remain at 16th until June, Vietnam NT will have a chance to join seed pot 2, then takes high advantage of the draw for the next qualifiers.
In this rankings, Belgium NT is ranked 1st in the world (1737) followed by France NT with only 3 points less.
From now to June, Vietnam NT joins King’s Cup in Thailand. This is the chance for coach Park Hang-seo’s side to improve their rank, or at least remain at 16th to beneficiary in the next draw.
