Thailand and Vietnam to be pooled in same group at World Cup 2022 Qualifiers
It is likely that Vietnam and Thailand will sit in the same group in World Cup 2022 qualifiers.

The draw for both the 2022 World Cup qualifiers and the 2023 Asian Cup will witness the top 40 Asian teams including Malaysia, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Guam, Mongolia and Sri Lanka on the way to find the ticket for the biggest football festival on the planet in Qatar.
The 40 teams will be divided into five different seed groups, each with eight teams based on FIFA rankings to enter the draw into eight groups for the second round of World Cup 2022 and 2023 Asian Cup.
World Cup 2022 qualifiers seed group:
Pot 1: Iran, Japan, Korea, Australia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, China
Pot 2: Iraq, Uzbekistan, Syria, Oman, Lebanon, Slovakia, Vietnam, Jordan
Pot 3: Palestine, India, Bahrain, Thailand, Tajikistan, Korea, Taipei China, Philippines
Pot 4: Turkmenistan, Myanmar, Hong Kong, Yemen, Afghanistan, Maldives, Kuwait, Malaysia
