The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has decided to postpone the callup of the national team and U22 Vietnam 4 days later than expected.

In order to take advantage of the players' time off from playing in professional tournaments, VFF and coach Park Hang-seo have planned to convene the national team and U22 Vietnam to look forward to important tournaments in the near future.

Initially, the General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Le Hoai Anh issued a notice: "With matches in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, Vietnam will play one match in October and two matches a month.  Due to the complicated evolution of COVID-19, it is not known whether it will be carried out. However, the national team and Vietnam U22 will focus on August 10 to August 16. "

Vietnam is expected to join forces on August 14.
Vietnam is expected to join forces on August 14.

But in the past days, the epidemic has continued to have negative changes, the number of cases and deaths increased day by day. Because of that reason, VFF decided to join the national team and U22 Vietnam on August 14 and this focus will last for a week before returning players to the club to practice waiting for V-League days to return.

In addition, it is known that in this rally, the Korean coach is expected to summon about 30 players, of which there will likely be new elements.

The move of rescheduling VFF when the epidemic situation in the country is still very stressful is very appropriate. Currently, in big cities like Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City are all trying to prevent outbreaks.
