VFF revealed the neutralization process of Filip Nguyen before the World Cup Qualifiers

Today the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and coach Park Hang-seo have a face-to-face meeting to finalize their plans for 2020.

The competitiors in the region and Asia are stepping up the naturalization of players, making many people worried when Vietnam   has remained the same squad for the past 2 years. However, recently General Secretary Le Hoai Anh revealed that VFF is still closely following the situation of overseas Vietnamese players, including goalkeeper Filip Nguyen.

Sharing with Zing, Mr. Le Hoai Anh revealed the current situation of Filip Nguyen: "Of course, we have discussed all naturalization procedures with Filip Nguyen. The naturalization depends on the players themselves, and also we are always closely following and supporting Filip Nguyen whenever there is a problem.

VFF always listen to the wishes of the players. The most important thing is still the determination to compete and contribute to Vietnam. VFF understands that their presence will increase the competitiveness of the players.”

Currently Filip Nguyen is having difficulty in the naturalization process, it is highly likely that this player will not have Vietnamese nationality to attend World Cup qualifying matches from now until June.

As for the AFF Cup 2020, which takes place during the time when the European championships are playing, Filip Nguyen is also unlikely to attend. Thereby, Filip Nguyen will have few opportunities to participate in Park Hang-seo's plan in 2020.
