VFF announced to postpone 7 tournaments due to Covid-19 epidemic
The impact of Covid-19 epidemic caused VFF to announce to postpone some non-professional tournaments in the near future.
On August 4 afternoon, VFF announced the suspension of a number of non-professional tournaments. Due to the complicated movement of the Covid-19 epidemic in localities, in order to limit the spread and ensure the safety of the players, coaching teams and participants, VFF decided to postpone the tournament in August.
The 7 leagues included in the announcement include the National Second Division football tournament, the National U15 Championship 2020 qualifiers, the National U17 Championship 2020, the U16 National Women's Football Tournament, the 2020 Women's National Championships, the National Beach Soccer Tournament 2020 and Final round of the National Youth and Children's Football 2020.
On 1/8, VFF has postponed 3 tournaments: Second Division, National U15 and Women U16 Championship. However, witnessing the situation increasingly complicated, the Organizing Committee of the tournaments has suspended another 4 tournaments since the afternoon of 4/8.
Previously, 3 professional tournaments including V-League, National First Division and National Cup 2020 were postponed as soon as the outbreak. VFF will base on the actual situation to decide the return time of all tournaments. In addition, the VFF Annual Meeting, held on August 8, has also been postponed. This year 's annual general meeting is paid close attention when the hot chair of the Vice President of Finance and Sponsorship will find its owner.
In recent days, football lovers has been constantly receiving unhappy information about domestic and foreign football tournaments. The members of the Southeast Asian Football Federation have proposed a plan to move the AFF Cup to 2021. And the last matches of the second VL World Cup 2022 in Asia in October and November have been left open.
