Jong Heerenveen coach, Ronnie Pander showed dissatisfaction with Van Hau and his teammates despite winning 2-0 against the opponent.

Jong Heerenveen continued to show its high performance as they defeated Jong Venlo with a score of 2-0 in the morning of February 18. This has been the third consecutive victory of the team. However, after the game ended, coach Ronnie Pander still expressed dissatisfaction with Van Hau and his teammates.

“I'm not too happy with the players' performance. If goalkeeper Trevor Doornbusch didn't play well, the score would have been 1-1,” said coach Ronnie Pander to Heerenveen homepage.

In the match against Jong Venlo, Jong Heerenveen quickly took the lead thanks to  Runar Espejord’s goal in the 31st minute. However, the team showed a completely different face in the second half when the opponent was constantly pushing. It was thanks to a lot of brilliant saves from goalkeeper Doornbusch that Jong Heerenveen didn’t concede any goals.

Deploying relentless attack without scoring a goal, Jong Venlo received a counter-attack at the end of the match. Rein Smit assisted by Van Hau, rised the score to 2-0.

“We take control of the game, create many opportunities and a win is completely deservable. However, the players had been playing too short of pace at many times. The whole team should have played with more energy,” admitted coach Pander.

Doan Van Hau continues to play for Jong Heerenveen

The victory over Jong Venlo gave Jong Heerenveen an additional 3 points and rose to 2nd place, following the top team Groningen despite playing less than 2 matches. Doan Van Hau and his teammates are also the only team unbeaten in the Dutch youth tournament.
