The Malaysia coach lamented ahead of the match against Vietnam
Tan Cheng Hoe is afraid that he will not have enough time to prepare for an important match with Vietnam in the 2022 World Cup qualifying in Asia.
The 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Asia will return in October. Vietnam is leading with 11 points after 5 matches, followed by Malaysia Tel with 2 points less.
Tan Cheng Hoe's army is very determined to overthrow Vietnam, as well as win tickets to the final qualifying round. To do this, recently the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has officially finalized the national team callup schedule to prepare for the upcoming important period.
Specifically, Malaysia will focus from September 24 with 26 or 27 players. This is a very small number of players compared to the number of 30-34 players that Park Hang-seo plans to summon for Vietnam. Explaining this decision, coach Tan Cheng Hoe said:
"At the moment I can only call 26 or 27 players for the upcoming concentration of Malaysia. Although there is a small number of players but this will make it easier for me to convey the tactical system to the players. and help make the training more effective. "
However, coach Tan Cheng Hoe is still worried that the two-week period is not enough to prepare for important matches in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers:
"I am not sure if two weeks will be enough for the players to understand the tactics of the coaching staff before the friendly match against Bahrain on October 2. What I hope the most now is The players will soon find the intensity of the game and will not experience any unfortunate injury when the M-League comes back next time.”
Meanwhile, in contrast to Malaysia, Vietnam will have a 3-day rally in August. This is considered an extremely careful preparation of Park Hang-seo for the first time to reach the final qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup of Vietnamese football.
