According to Hanoi FC club leader Vo Le Trung, the possibility of SC Heerenveen extending the contract with Doan Van Hau is not much.

Doan Van Hau's contract with Heerenveen will end on June 30. The Dutch team had some moves to negotiate with Hanoi FC as sending an email in early May 2020 asking its partner to make a video call to negotiate.

However, after the email, SC Heerenveen did not have any moves to promote the extension of the contract with the number 1 left-back of Vietnam. Even Mr. Vo Le Trung - General Director of Hanoi T&T Sports Joint Stock Company confirmed that this team has not received any official offers from Heerenveen.

"Hanoi FC always tries to listen and exchange with Van Hau's transfer proposals but it must be a clear plan, not a general one. Hau and Heerenveen have only a few days left, hoping our partner will soon come up with a specific contract for the two sides to officially work "- according to VOV.

The leader of Hanoi FC confirmed that SC Heerenveen only talked about the development of the Thai Binh-born defender, without making any suggestions that the contract extension will end on June 30.

SC Heerenveen was struggling because the Covid-19 epidemic caused them to cut the salaries of their employees and players. General Director Vo Le Trung hoped the partner would negotiate an extension in the near future, but he also acknowledged the possibility of success is not much.

The reason for the suspension of the negotiation was that Doan Van Hau was receiving 450,000 euros / year (about 11.5 billion dong) before taxes. On average, Thai Binh players receive 217,000 euros a year.

Vietnam player is receiving the 4th highest salary in Heerenveen. However, Heerenveen could not reduce Van Hau's salary, because it was the minimum salary for a player outside the EU. Therefore, the ability for him to continue to stay in the Netherlands is not high.
