PSSI thinks Shin Tae-yong is talking too much

Cold war did occur between PSSI, and the Indonesian national team coach , Shin Tae-yong. Both of them were even seen issuing statements in the media. Shin Tae-yong plainly blurted out his thought in one of the South Korean media.

In his statement, the South Korean coach alluded to three things, namely the change in attitude of the PSSI, alluded to the figure of the local coach who was included in the composition of the training, and related to the Indonesian National Team.

Responding to this, the Director of PSSI Engineering, Indra Sjafri spoke up. In this case Indra Sjafri appreciated the patience of PSSI Chairman Mochamad Iriawan in the Shin Tae-yong case.

"All of that was done by Pak Ketum for the progress of our national team. Including giving very much authority to Shin to handle almost all levels of the national team, from the Senior National Team, U-23 and U-19, " Indra said.

Indra explained, from the beginning the federation actually did not agree that Shin Tae Yong trained three levels of the national team, but because Shin forced it, PSSI finally fulfilled it.

Indra saw the behavior of Shin Tae-yon, who talked too much to various South Korean media during his return to his country, showed that Shin himself was not confident with his own promise when presenting as a candidate for the national team coach. Including the promise to guarantee Indonesia can win the AFF Cup 2020.

"While other candidates, Luis Milla, cannot guarantee that. Liars are named if there is a coach who can guarantee champions in football, " said Indra.

"He actually has just a lot of reasons, because he is not sure he can meet the heavy targets imposed by our federation. PSSI wants the senior national team to win the AFF 2020 Cup, improve FIFA rankings, and the U-19 national team to excel in the 2021 U-20 World Cup," he explained.

Shin Tae-yong in the near future has a duty to handle the Indonesian U-19 national team, who will face the U-19 Asian Cup 2020.
