Phan Van Duc confirmed his injury has recovered and is ready to fight and called up to the national team.

Phan Van Duc is one of the much-awaited players in V-League 2020. After a long time of injury, he is finally able to re-appear in the SLNA shirt. More specifically, even in his first match, he scored a goal to help the home team win the first 3 points of the season.

This goal helped Van Duc release all previous worries and believe more in the path he has chosen. A year without playing football is too long for a professional player. However, it also helps the 24-year-old midfielder become more mature. Now he knows how to play effectively and still be able to avoid unnecessary collisions that can lead to injuries.

Van Duc also shared that the bad pitch and overburdening is the reason that he and many teammates at U23 Vietnam face serious injuries like a broken ligament.

“Perhaps because the pitch is bad and especially overloaded. Playing too much makes our body tired. The club must also use players for achievements, because of the expectations of fans. Players always try and are ready to enter the field and the risk of serious injury is higher,” said the 24-year-old.

“I haven't seen a national coach come into the players' room, jump into bed and sleep like that. However, Park Hang-seo is extremely serious and fair on the training ground. Those who practice well will be able to play on the soccer field. So I'm not sure I'll be called up. The important thing is that you have to make more efforts and perform well in the club to be evaluated by the coach ," Van Duc affirmed.

Currently V-League 2020 is on a break due to the Covid-19 epidemic. However, instead of taking a break, Phan Van Duc and his teammates at SLNA still practice as usual.
