OFFICIAL: FIFA announces World Cup 2022 schedule
Recently, the World Football Federation (FIFA) has announced the detailed schedule of the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.
Accordingly, the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will start on November 21. There will be 4 matches a day in the group stage until December 2. Thus, the matches in the group stage will take place in 12 days.
The first two matches in the 2022 World Cup group stage will take place in the time frame: 1 pm, 4 pm, 7 pm and 10 pm local time. Meanwhile, the final round of the group stage and the knockout matches will take place at 6 pm and 10 pm local time.
The opening match of the 2022 World Cup will take place at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor city on November 21 in a match with the host of Qatar.
The venue for the 2022 World Cup final is the Lusail Stadium in Doha and takes place on December 18.
Currently, Asia is the only region that has kicked off the 2022 World Cup qualifier. Meanwhile, Europe, South America, North America and Africa have yet to begin due to the impact of the Covid- 19.
In the 2022 World Cup qualifying round in Asia, Vietnam is currently leading Group G with 11 points after 5 matches with unbeaten performance, 2 points higher than Malaysia and 3 points ahead of Thailand.

According to the original schedule of the 2022 World Cup qualifier, Vietnam will be a guest of Malaysia on March 31. However, this match was delayed due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The top 8 teams in each group and the fourth best second-placed teams will advance to the final round of the 2022 World Cup and winning tickets to the 2023 Asian Cup finals held in China.
