Coach Johnny Jansen is disappointed with the home team’s loss in the round 21 of Eredivisie.
Heerenveen traveled to Fortuna Sittard last night, facing a weaker opponent. Heerenveen side was confident to win three points but Jansen didn’t give Van Hau a slot.
Heerenveen had a good start with anopening score in the 6th minute by Van Berge. However, their loose defense gave its rival a chance to come back with two goals from Passlack (15th minute) and an own goal of Botman (74th minute).
Following the lost, “it is pity to lose today. We had a good start with an early goal. However, the match changed too fast that my players could not adjust. The last-minute goal defeated us in this match.
The whole team should forget this defeat and move on. We must secure three points in the next match. My players should be positive to win the goal. That is the basic thing to look forward to success this season.”
This is the third consecutive thrashing of Heerenveen. From competing for a place to attend the European Cup at the beginning of the season, Van Hau's team has fallen to 9th place on the table with 28 points and there is still a lot to do if they do not want to decline.
