Chung Hae-seong: Cong Phuong is just one in 29 players of Ho Chi Minh City FC
Chung Hae-seong stated Cong Phuong’s absence will not affect Ho Chi Minh’s performance in the match against Hai Phong.

Kim Seung-yong, a former teammate of Cong Phuong in Incheon United, shared his first impression about the Nghe An-born striker.
Cong Phuong joined Incheon United in 2019 on 1-year loan from HAGL. The 25-year-old made two appearances to play full 90 minutes for the club and spend the rest of time on the bench.
Cong Phuong had not shown much impression in South Korea. He could score or assist, which made him bid farewell to Incheon on June 2, 2019.
“I was surprised by Cong Phuong in the first day training with him. He possesses superior skills than South Korean ones. He could easily dribble through 1-2 teammates. That is his strength,” Kim told Sportplus.
However, Kim Seung-yong stated that individual skills are not enoguh to be successful in football, especially in K-League.
“Football does not only need skill but also need to fight. For 90 minutes, Cong Phuong showed weakness and incompetence. In the K-League, where physicality plays an important role, it may have affected Cong Phuong's performance.”
After parting with Incheon United, Cong Phuong moved to play for Sint-Truidense (Belgium), before returning to Vietnam to join the Ho Chi Minh City club.
