HAGL player: 'I'm the top midfielder in the V-League'

Damir Memovic had an impressive season in the V-League 2019. He played well with Hoang Van Khanh, played 25/26 games and kept 11 clean sheets, helping SLNA have a solid defense at the top of the league.

At the end of the season, Memovic broke up with SLNA to move to HAGL. The player was born in 1989 without defying the coaching team’s expectations when quickly integrating with the team's playstyle. HAGL that was underestimated in defense has improved markedly with the presence of Memovic.

Midfielder Damir Memovic said: “I am the top midfielder of the V-League. I try to maintain that. Last year I had the honor of being voted into the top line of the tournament.

I have been to HAGL for 5-6 months. I like this land with very friendly people. Even though everything is a bit sad here, life is really peaceful. The weather in Pleiku is wonderful, different from the hot weather in other places. However, it is also a problem when I live here. Going to another place to play, I have to get used to the different weather.

I try to practice every day for my defensive skills. For me, helping HAGL keep a clean sheet is extremely important. That is my primary duty ”- according to On Sports.

Damir Memovic also said that the defense of HAGL this year has played better with the efforts of teammates, with the right winger Van Thanh and the left winger Hong Duy. The Serbian midfielder also highly appreciated the talent of partner Truong Trong Sang.

After 11 rounds, HAGL is ranked 6th in the standings with 17 points. They conceded 12 and scored 12. The HAGL team is full of hope to enter the championship competition group in phase 2.​
