Coach Indra Sjafri, who led U22 Indonesia to confront U22 Vietnam at the SEA Games 30, has advised young Indonesian players not to play in Barcelona.

Coach Indra Sjafri is a former Indonesian football player and currently the technical director of the Indonesian national team. He led the U22 team of thousands of islands to reach the final of the SEA Games 30 and lost to Vietnam with a score of 0-3. Before that, he also lost to a team led by coach Park Hang-seo in the group stage with a score of 1-2.

He has been a coaching career with young Indonesian football. He knows the abilities of the players very well. Accordingly, they should consider very carefully before deciding to go to Europe to play football because the chance of playing is very low.

Coach Indra Sjafri said: "What the players have to count when playing in Europe is the flight time. The number of minutes to play the game is very important. Therefore, the choice of clubs must also be careful. For example, players from Asia want to play in Barcelona, they might spend their whole career there without being tapped."

"Players should look for the right opportunity, at least play 30-40 minutes, but play continuously. Fans do not expect many Indonesian players to become the mainstay of a team and get famous in Europe as soon as he arrives".

Indonesia has two players playing in Europe, Egy Maulana Virki, joining Lechia Gdansk in the Polish league and Witan Sulaeman playing for FK Radnik Surdulica in Serbia. However, both have not left many imprints.
