Duc Huy rejected 4 teams to stay in Hanoi FC
The Hai Duong midfielder revealed that he had received the offer from 4 teams but refused to stay with Hanoi FC.
“When the contract with Hanoi club was 6 months left, there were two or three clubs in Vietnam and a foreign club contacted, negotiated with me according to FIFA rules. But I didn't agree, that's what I said honestly. I decided to stick with the Hanoi club because this is a training environment, giving me the opportunity to play and for me to reach the current success, ” Duc Huy shared.
After the end of the youth training contract at the end of the 2019 season, Duc Huy received the attention of many domestic and foreign teams. At that time, besides Ho Chi Minh City and some other domestic teams, the club from Thai League Chonburi also paid special attention to Duc Huy. Even, they are willing to pay nearly 10,000 usd / month with a fee of 100,000 usd / season to persuade Vietnamese player to play in the Thai League.
However, the 25-year-old midfielder decided to turn down all offers to stay with Hanoi FC for three more seasons. Duc Huy admits he is not ready for going abroad to play in the future.
“Besides football, I think there are two things that compel Vietnamese players to adapt. Gastronomy in Europe is another story. What is more important is foreign language. I want to go abroad, must speak English. At this moment, I just want to continue to contribute to Hanoi ”, Duc Huy said about the opportunity to play abroad for himself and other Vietnamese players in the future.
