Ho Chi Minh could not gain themselves a win in the friendly match before season 2020, despite their quality names.
V-League runner-up Ho Chi Minh City FC had an exhibition match with Becamex Binh Duong in Ba Ria Vung Tau. In this match, Chung Hae-seong gave out the strong squad with Cong Phuong, Phi Son, Huy Toan and Ngo Hoang Thinh.
