Coach Park received bad news from Duy Manh's subsititue Van Khanh

During a training session in preparation for the match against Ba Ria Vung Tau in the 2020 National Cup, midfielder Hoang Van Khanh suffered a knee injury after a collision with his teammates during the training session. Initially the captain of SLNA was diagnosed with only a ligament dilatation and would take a week off. However, the defender's injury was worse than expected.

According to experts at PVF, Hoang Van Khanh had a second degree ligament cut and had to take a break of at least 2 months. It was Hoang Van Khanh who confirmed this information:

"After filming and carefully examining the injury, the doctors determined that I had a second degree ligament tear, so I had to rest to recover from the injury until the end of July before I could return to training with the club."

With this injury, midfielder Hoang Van Khanh is rehearsing at PVF center and it is likely that it will be until the beginning of August that he can return to practice with SLNA club.

This injury came just in time when Hoang Van Khanh was in the highest form of his career. He is a mainstay in the defense of Nghe An's football team. With intelligent play and not afraid of collision, Hoang Van Khanh is considered one of the best central defenders at the V-League 2020.

Experts say that Hoang Van Khanh is completely capable of replacing Duy Manh in Vietnam, when the center-back is suffering from an injury and will have to stop playing by the end of 2020. However, this injury will take SLNA captain's ability to develop.
