BREAKING: Thanh Hoa asked Mr. De to withdraw his withdrawal application

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa, Mr. Pham Nguyen Hong said that the provincial People's Committee had no policy to abandon V-League 2020 under any circumstances.

As previously reported, the Thanh Hoa club sent a letter asking to quit V-League 2020. The reason came from the financial difficulties that the club could not maintain for the rest of the season, especially when V-League indefinitely delays due to disease.

However, Mr. Pham Nguyen Hong said: "This morning, I asked Mr. Nguyen Van De why he wanted to withdraw from V-League, whether he reported to the provincial People's Committee?

Mr. De told me that 4-5 clubs have submitted applications to stop V-League because of the situation of Covid-19. This application is only a proposal to stop the game because of the disease that caused the clubs to be passive so we should cancel the tournament to prepare for the 2021 season.

If the league is stopped, the top team will be awarded and no club will be relegated. I told De that to do these things, he needed to report to the leaders of the department and the provincial People's Committee.  Mr. De said this was his mistake. Because of difficult conditions, Thanh Hoa Club does not participate in V-League 2020 anymore. I also suggested Mr. De learn from his experience because this is a provincial team, not of an individual.

Mr. Pham Nguyen Hong also added that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa did not know about the request that was sent yesterday. He also instructed Mr. De to immediately withdraw this letter.

Mr. Hong also affirmed the policy of the province, Thanh Hoa sports industry is not to give up football in any circumstances. In addition, the application of Thanh Hoa football team has not yet consulted with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as the leaders of Thanh Hoa province.
