Thailand overwhelm Bahrain in U23 match
Thailand cruised past Bahrain in their opening AFC U23 Championship Thailand 2020 Group A match at the Thammasat Stadium in Rangsit, while Iraq and Australia ended in a draw.

Speaking in the press conference, Bahrain coach admited Thailand excels Bahrain.
In the opening match at AFC U23 Championship 2020, U23 Bahrain encountered hosts Thailand. Despite the higher evalutation, Chammam’s army performed badly and ended up with a 0-5 thrashing.
Speaking after the match, Samir Chammam admited that U23 Thailand were too strong. However the coach still hopes to win ticket to the quarterfinals.
Samir shares, “We ran out of energy in the last minutes. U23 Thailand is way stronger than us both in strength and playstyle. They scored 5. I have to admit that my players were not in the best health condition. They were surpassed in the second half.
We must improve health and conditioning. U23 Bahrain have two more match against Australia and Iraq. The whole team goal is to win 6 points and hope to be qualified for the Olympic Tokyo 2020."
U23 Bahrain will take on U23 Iraq on Jan 11 and Australia in Jan 14- two strongest teams in group A. Thereby, there is a low chance to win 4 to 6 points from the last two matches.
