AFC adjusts the schedule for the U20 Asian Women's football tournament
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced to continue adjusting the schedule for the first qualifying round of the AFC U20 Women’s Championship 2022.
Accordingly, the new schedule of the first qualifying round of the AFC U20 Women’s Championship 2022 will take place from 13 March to 21 March, 2021 instead of the old schedule (from 6 March to 14 March, 2021).
This adjustment is to avoid match schedules and player age criteria for the AFC U20 Women’s Championship 2022 and the 2020 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
The AFC is also calling for the Member Associations to stand to host and register to attend the qualifying round of the 2020 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup and AFC U20 Women’s Championship 2022. The deadline for registration to attend and host two events is open until July 31, 2020.
Currently, the national women's football tournaments (U19, National Cup ...) are taking place vigorously at the Vietnam Young Football Training Center; In August and September, VFF will continue to organize U16 and National Women's championships to maintain competition for clubs, creating a playground for female players.
VFF also waits for the announcements, adjusting the time to play AFF and AFC women's football competitions to timely have specific plans for the national women's teams.
