Martin Lo reveals reason to join Hai Phong FC
Recently, Vietnamese-origin midfielder - Martin Lo shared with the media the reason he chose to play for Hai Phong in the 2020 V-League season.
On January 30, after finishing the contract with Pho Hien Club, Martin Lo signed a 2-year contract with Hai Phong Club, to compete in the V-League 2020. This can be considered as a the progress of this overseas Vietnamese midfielder when he is played in the highest league of Vietnamese football, after a relatively successful season in the First Division.
Before moving to Hai Phong, Martin Lo was said to be negotiating and getting very close to signing a contract with Saigon Club. However, at the last minute, the 23-year-old midfielder decided to join Hai Phong. Explaining this decision, Martin Lo said:
"Hai Phong is a club with a good coach and passionate fans. I like the atmosphere of this city. Besides, the team also has many overseas Vietnamese players, as well as quality foreign soldiers. They shares the same style of play with me. This is the condition for me to integrate faster with the team to play in the 2020 V-League."
Hai Phong Club is known for its large number of overseas Vietnamese players. Before Martin Lo, the team brought success to Dang Van Lam, Adriano Schmidt or previously Keven Nguyen. Therefore, fans hope, Martin Lo will promote their best ability and success when playing at Hai Phong.
Regarding Martin Lo's personal goal in V-League 2020, he shared: "My goal in 2020 is to play as much as possible and contribute to the success of the team in the V-League 2020. If I do this, I will have more opportunities to play for the national team, my biggest goal when I return to Vietnam to play. "
Currently, Martin Lo and his teammates at Hai Phong Club are rushing to prepare for V-League 2020. In the first round, the Hai Phong team will travel to Thanh Hoa FC.
